Biology is the study of life which, of course, encompasses many different levels from cells to ecosystems. Biology is you!

We are an interdisciplinary department with faculty specializing in fields including Animal Biology, Botany, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Biological Technology, Marine Biology, and Oceanography. Take courses to complete your lower division coursework required for a Biology or STEM major. Or, complete one of our Biotechnology certificate programs for a direct path to entry level work in biotechnology jobs in the high-tech industry.

Biology | Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) Degree 

Earn a degree AND prepare to transfer. By completing the AS-T in Biology, you will finish the general education requirements as well as the lower division major requirements for a Bachelor degree in Biology prior to transferring to a CSU.
